The summer school will accept students, academics and IT professionals. Experience in recent years has shown far more people apply than can be accepted. Thus, students and academics will be offered a place based on academic record. Attendees from industry should register directly via email.

Students and academics should fill in the form linked at the bottom of the page: this requires a short statement describing how you would benefit from the summer school and a CV with grades or publications where applicable. The application deadline is April 27, 2008. Notification of acceptance will be mailed out on May 20, at which point attendees will be asked to pay the registration fee through this website until the June 15, 2008.

Fees

The registration fees cover the lectures, practical courses, and handouts; as well as lunch and dinner on weekdays. A special dinner will also be provided during the event.

This price includes transport from the 'La Rochelle' town to the island.

Depending on some sponsors, the final price may be reduced, consider this as a maximum. If you encounter financial difficulties we encourage you to apply to scholarships.

Accommodation

The event will take place at "Ile de Re", '"Relai Soleil" village. Alternative accommodation should be arranged privately. We emphasize you that Ile de Re hotels are booked very early in the season and the island is quite large, so you should book as soon as possible.

Scholarships

PhD, master and undergraduate students are eligible for scholarships that cover registration, accommodation and/or travel costs. because we only have limited funds available we will select scholars based on academic merit and financial need. During the application procedure you will be asked whether you want to apply for a scholarship and, if so, why you are especially in need for it.

You also can apply to a partial scholarship, allowing you to have no registration Fees.
